Getting the CAN information from each truck helps us monitor sudden fuel decreases and avoid any possible fuel theft as it happens. And because staff know we have this information available, we actually prevent fuel theft altogether and save money. For every refuelling event, we get an alert with the position of the truck, its current odometer reading and its diesel consumed value from the CAN. This information, shared with our drivers, allows us to reconcile banking transactions and stop fuel theft at refuelling stations.
